To that end, we have two tools to help new clients accurately assess their financial situation.

We balance our approach of using low-cost products with a concern for managing investment risk.  Many asset classes are trading at exceedingly high valuations presently, so alternative products and strategies may be used until capital markets normalize toward more traditional levels. We find that many people are taking on more risk than they realize when using conventional approaches and beliefs. The focus is on wealth preservation by avoiding large drawdowns and seeking good returns without substantial volatility.

This approach allows us to present the broadest possible range of strategies and products – the recommended course of action has to work for the client. Thoroughness, clarity, and an ability to educate and motivate clients are hallmarks of what we do. We aim to contribute meaningfully to clients’ lives by focusing their financial and life goals and guiding their choices and have coined the acronym STANDUP (Scientific Testing and Necessary Disintermediation Underpin Professionalism) to summarize our approach.  We STANDUP for our clients.
